MORE INFO

The Basics:

  • Respect the land – clean up after yourself! NO single-use plastic. LEAVE NO TRACE :)

  • Be waste free: bring only reusable (non-disposable), natural (nontoxic) items to Kupalo fest

  • Drinking water is supplied and fires are restricted to the communal fire pits located on site.

What to bring:

  • Your tent/camper, sleeping bags, and anything you'll need to camp for the weekend.

  • Reusable water bottles and/or mug.

  • Sunscreen, bug spray; be ready for any weather.

  • Flashlight - it gets quite dark at night.

  • Cash for the market, pancake breakfast, beer gardens, etc. There is no ATM or WIFI on site and poor or no cell phone service.

  • Snacks and food for in between meals as the nearest store is a 15 minute drive away. 3 meals will be provided during the festival: 1 meal late on Friday at the Social and 2 meals on Saturday (lunch and dinner). On Sunday morning there will be a pancake breakfast fundraiser (cost $15).

  • Potluck dish with list of ingredients for Friday night.

  • Warm clothing as it can get cold at night and rain gear. We are going to celebrate no matter the weather!

  • Festive or ceremonial clothing, whatever that means to you. White clothes are traditionally worn for Kupalo to represent the light of the longest day. Along with comfortable shoes for dancing.

  • For anyone attending singing/music workshops, we strongly recommend bringing recording devices (cell phone, tape, minidisk/digital, etc.) in order to record lessons for later review.

  • If you have a musical instrument, please bring it!

  • Camera (optional).

  • Your bicycle! Optional, but nice for getting around and exploring.

  • If there is something we missed that you are wondering about bringing email us at hello@kupalofest.com

Accessibility Information:

  • There is uneven terrain and grassy areas not ideal for mobility devices at the airplane.

  • Both the dance hall and the outside port-a-potties are accessible.

  • In low light there may be areas that are harder to see.

  • If you have any additional questions about accessibility, please email info@kupalofest.ca

Cell service: Poor to none. No wifi.

Be prepared to pay in cash.
